Welcome to Shiva Shakti Mandir
Honouring Divine Balance, Empowering Youth, Serving Community
At Shiva Shakti Mandir (SSM), located in Johannesburg South, we embody the vibrant harmony of Shiva—symbolizing conscious stillness—and Shakti—representing dynamic, creative energy.
Officially rededicated in January 2023, our Mandir thrives on South Africa’s cherished principle of ubuntu, embracing the idea that "I am because we are."
Our temple is more than a spiritual sanctuary; it’s a vibrant hub for worship, learning, community service (seva), and youth-driven innovation.
OUR VISION
To nurture a vibrant, inclusive spiritual community where Sanātana Dharma remains alive, relevant, and deeply rooted in everyday life, inspiring present and future generations to live with faith, compassion, unity, and purpose.
OUR MISSION
Shiva Shakti Mandir is committed to:
Preserving Sanātana Dharma through prayer, sacred rituals, spiritual teachings, festivals, and cultural traditions.
Educating and inspiring future generations by creating meaningful opportunities for children and youth to understand and embrace Hindu values.
Promoting Seva (selfless service) by encouraging compassion, generosity, and service to our community and all beings.
Building an inclusive spiritual home where individuals and families can worship, learn, connect, and grow together.
